Identity and Access Management Application - New privacy category added to Escalation Contacts
* A new category named Privacy has been added to Escalation Contacts. Please use this category to add contacts from your organization to receive privacy notifications from Akamai’s Global Data Protection Office.

Enhancements in Identity and Access Management Application
- Admins can now self-configure when user accounts should be locked due to inactivity. The new option is available in Settings tab in the Identity and Access Management application.
- Transferring API clients between owners is less restrictive. As long as the new owner has more than or equal rights than the API client, transfer owner of an API client is supported.

Change in Escalation Contacts in Manage Users and Groups Application
Adding and removing escalation contacts is self-serviceable again. To manage escalation contacts, visit the Manage Users & Groups application and navigate to the Escalation Contacts tab.

The “Rotate API Credentials” APIs are being renamed to “Identity Management: API”. Your Akamai API clients are not affected, and will continue to have access to the same set of APIs that are documented here.

Enhancements in Manage Users and Groups Application
- Password reset emails no longer contain the user’s temporary password. Instead, a link to set a new password is sent to the user. This is for added security.
- Only group admins can reset passwords for users in their groups.
- Emails for new user creation now support the Korean and Japanese languages.

Enhancements in Manage Users and Groups Application
- First and last name fields, role and group name fields now support unicode characters.
- Role names in Roles tab are now sorted alphabetically. The complete role description is also shown as a tooltip.
- New user creation emails no longer contain the user’s temporary password. Instead, the process has changed to utilize the rotate password workflow to self-service creation of new password. The new user welcome email has instructions for users to set their password. This is an added security feature.
- Bug fixes for supporting valid domain names in the Settings tab.
- Other small bug fixes.

Manage IP Whitelist now part of Identity Management
Manage IP Whitelist is now incorporated to the Identity Management Application. A new, corresponding Akamai API is also available on learn.akamai.com.
You can access this feature within the Manage Users & Groups application on Control Center in the Settings tab.

New Identity Management Application is Generally Available
The new unified Identity Management (IDM) application is now Generally Available to all customers in Control Center. The new application combines the functionality from User Admin and User Profile, Manage APIs and Contact Management into a single application, and supports editing your own profile and viewing your permissions, all in a brand-new look & feel.
The new application also allows Admins to:
- Manage groups, resources, properties, and escalation contacts,
- Manage users and APIs,
- Reset multi-factor authentication,
- Set account-wide default settings.
Access to the new application is open to all customers in Control Center under the CONFIGURE menu at Manage Users & Groups.
A corresponding Akamai API is also available on developer.akamai.com.

Manage APIs Beta: A New Manage API User Interface is now available on Control Center!
All customers with Manage APIs on their account now have access to the new Manage API interface (UI). You can find it on the Configure tab in Control Center under Manage API (Beta). With the new Manage API UI, you can now offer your developers self-service access to administer changes, create a single access token for all general Akamai APIs, and access resources across multiple contracts.
In the near future, the original version of Manage API UI will be removed for all customers. As part of the removal process, all supported tokens will automatically migrate to the new UI. Unsupported tokens will continue to work until November 2017.
