Enhancements
Navigation in Akamai Control Center has changed for the current version of Media Services Live. Look for its interfaces under the new ORIGIN SERVICES category:
- To access Media Services Live: Select Collapsed Menu icon > ORIGIN SERVICES > Media Services Live.
- To access Media Services Live Reports: Select Collapsed Menu icon > ORIGIN SERVICES > Media Services Live > Reports.
Legacy Media Services Live components are still accessible via the MEDIA category (MEDIA > Other Media services > Legacy Media Services Live/Legacy Media Services Live reports).

- Origin upload or download path is not the same on the publish and delivery side for Live to VOD recording.
- After editing a stream packaging stream and setting an end date, the View Details page did not display the same date.
- When a stream packaging configuration failed due to an error, the NetStorage CP code selected as a part of that configuration creation was not available for reuse.

Media Services Live 4.2 introduces key new features.
New features include:
CMAF pass-through support: You can now ingest a Common Media Application Format (CMAF) stream using MSL 4.2. CMAF is a new media streaming format supported by both DASH and HLS. The Content Ingestion page of the Add New Stream wizard has a new radio button to select CMAF.
Multi-Account Origin Access (Beta): Multi-Account Origin Access enables you to allow Media Services Live streams defined in one account to be delivered by delivery configurations in another account(s). This is achieved by using manual access keys. The stream’s publisher creates a set of keys that they share with those who receive the stream. The publisher uses this key and matches it with the hostname to authenticate and authorize the user and share information.
