Get started: Cloudlets that forward to different origins

Cloudlets that can forward a request to a different origin or path have different configuration tasks than other Cloudlets.

Get started: Cloudlets that can forward to different origins

Note: Some Cloudlets have additional configuration tasks outside those listed below. Those steps are documented in each Cloudlet's user guide.

To get started quickly with any Cloudlet that changes the forward origin, complete these steps:

  1. If you are setting up Application Load Balancer, complete the steps in Get started: Application Load Balancer.
  2. If necessary, set up the roles and permissions for your Cloudlets users.
  3. Determine the number and type of Conditional Origins you need.
  4. In Property Manager:
    1. Set up Conditional Origins.
    2. Activate Conditional Origins.
  5. In the Cloudlets Policy Manager:
    1. Create a policy.
    2. Configure rules for that policy.
    3. Activate the policy.
  6. In Property Manager:
    1. Add the Cloudlet's behavior to the appropriate property.
    2. Activate the property.
