Using Multiple Revalidate Tags

Files can contain multiple revalidate tags. However, you cannot have two identical matches at any level in the tree. For example, the following is invalid because the match on foo value appears twice at the same level:

<match:foo value="a">
    <match:bar value="b">
        <revalidate>now</revalidate>
    </match:bar>
</match:foo>
<match:foo value="a">
    <match:bar value="c">
        <revalidate>now</revalidate>
    </match:bar>
</match:foo>

The valid form of the above statement removes the duplication:

<match:foo value="a">
    <match:bar value="b">
         <revalidate>now</revalidate>
    </match:bar>
    <match:bar value="c">
         <revalidate>now</revalidate>
    </match:bar>
</match:foo>
