Populate apikeys file

Update the apikeys file with your key and secret values.

The location of the apikeys template file is different for a Windows or MAC machine. For the examples shown in Download the EAA connector migration files, To update it with your key and secret values:

For MAC, the location is:

/Library/Python/2.7/site-packages/connector_migration/apikeys.

For Windows, the location is:

c:\python27\lib\site-packages\connector_migration\apikeys.

To update it with your key and secret values:

How to

  1. For MAC, open a terminal window. For Windows, open a command prompt.
  2. Change directory to the location of the apikeys template file. For this example
    • For MAC type: cd /Library/Python/2.7/site-packages/connector_migration
    • For Windows type: cd c:\python27\lib\site-packages\connector_migration
  3. Open the apikeys template file using a text editor like notepad. It contains:
    {"key": "ADD-YOUR-EAA-API-KEY",
              "secret": "ADD-YOUR-EAA-API-SECRET"}
  4. Add your tenant's actual key and secret values in JSON format. For this example:
    {"key": "my_company_key",
              "secret": "my_company_secret"}
  5. Save the file.
    Note: Do not rename the apikeys file to any other name or modify the file extension.
    Note:
    If the location of the apikeys template file is different on your machine, you can use the command:
    pip show eaa-connector-migration-python
    to derive the location, as described in Download the EAA connector migration files.
