URL rewrite rules

URL rewriting improves site delivery by optimizing the content from your applications. In Enterprise Application Access (EAA), URL rewrite rules are often necessary when internal and external hostnames for an application differ. For example, some links may try to serve content from the intranet to external users. In this case, the link will fail and the application will not serve content. Once the URL path is rewritten, the link will go to the external site and be able to serve the content.

There are five rewrite type options that apply to either the response or the request to help fix broken links. See Content type rewrite reference table.

You can also apply rewrite rules for groups of related applications using application groups.
