Integrate EAA with Kona Site Defender and Akamai Ion
You can integrate EAA with Kona Site Defender (KSD) and Akamai Ion to enhance application security and performance. Configure these application advanced settings for this integration from the EAA Management Portal in :
- CDN enabled: Select this option if the end user is accessing the application through Content Delivery Network (CDN) which connects to the Enterprise Application Access (EAA) cloud. Also, update the CNAME of the application to the edgekey domain so that the request goes to the CDN edge server and not to the EAA Akamai domain. When you select CDN enabled additional options appear.
- Akamai Performance package: Enable CDN enabled to see this field. Select this option to initiate integration with Ion and generate an Edge cookie encryption key and a SureRoute test object.
- Akamai Edge enforcement: Enable CDN enabled to see this field. Select this option to only authorize traffic from your CDN web properties with an Edge signature, to pass the real client IP on to EAA, and to generate a Ghost to Origin (G2O) key and nonce.
To complete this integration and the necessary setup that is required in KSD and Ion, contact Akamai Professional Services.
