Configure YouTube restricted mode

An Enterprise Threat Protector (ETP) super administrator, delegated administrator, or tenant administrator can restrict access to YouTube content. To restrict access, you can select Strict or Moderate mode. Strict mode gives users access to a more limited or restricted collection of video content, while moderate allows users to access a larger collection of restricted videos. This procedure assumes that you are enabling YouTube restricted mode in an existing policy.

How to

  1. In the navigation menu, select Configuration > Policies.
Note: If you are trying the new Enterprise Center interface, in the navigation menu, select Policies > Policies.
  2. Click the name of the policy that you want to edit.
  3. Click Settings.
  4. Navigate to the Browsing Restrictions area of the page.
  5. Depending on the restricted mode you want to use, in the YouTube menu, select Strict or Moderate.
  6. Click Save.

Next steps

After you edit a policy, you must deploy the configuration changes to the ETP network. For instructions see Deploy configuration changes.
