Front End Optimization (FEO)

FEO is a group of techniques that includes reducing the number of HTTP requests, compression, and optimizing browser rendering, all of which can help you improve performance, especially on smartphones and tablets.

The FEO setting is turned on by default during onboarding, but that’s only the first step to integrate FEO on your domain. It’s important to understand that, at this time, FEO is enabled on your domain, but without policies, and optimizations are not applied to your domain. After going live on Akamai’s network, you’ll need to set up your FEO configuration on your domain.

When you’re ready to set up your FEO configuration, Front End Optimization Getting Started on Control Center can guide you through the process.
