RUM Data Sources

For Real User Monitoring (RUM), data is collected from the following sources:

Source Description
RUM JavaScript The data sent back in the RUM JavaScript response message includes:
  • timing metrics for the end user’s interaction with your Web site, and

  • information about whether FEO was used on the Web site.

Other Sources Data is collected from:
  • your configuration.

  • logs, which provide the information about the CP code, operating system, IPv6 support, as well as other values used by RUM.

  • traceroutes performed on Edge Servers.

  • Network partners (for example, unaggregated Border Gateway Protocol, or BGP, feeds with communities).

  • Network logs, which provide geographic information.
