Configure the behaviors in the default rule

Behaviors apply to all requests in the default rule, which includes all mandatory and some of the recommended behaviors designed to improve a number of the performance aspects in the OTA Updates module. You cannot delete a mandatory behavior from the default rule, but you can retain the flexibility to add mandatory behaviors to custom rules. Perform this procedure to configure the behaviors that are automatically part of the default rule of the OTA Updates configuration.

In the context of OTA Updates, the following behaviors are mandatory:
  • Origin server
  • Content provider code

How to

  1. Access Property Manager configurations associated with the selected Control Center account. Go to > CDN > Properties (or just enter Properties in the search box).
    The Property Groups page opens.
  2. Click the Property Name link for your property.
  3. On the Property Details page, click the Version of your configuration that you want to access in Manage Versions and Activations.
  4. On the Property Manager Editor page, select Default Rule in Property Configuration Settings.
  5. In Behaviors, follow the steps:
    1. Configure the origin server behavior.

    2. For NetStorage only: Configure the NetStorage recommended behaviors.
    3. Configure the content provider code behavior.

    4. Configure the UID configuration behavior.
