Learn moreCreate an OTA Updates propertyProperty is an identifier that indicates which property configuration file and product to use when processing incoming HTTP or HTTPS requests.Associate a property hostname to an edge hostnameYou can associate a property hostname to the edge hostname in Property Manager when you create the OTA Updates property configuration. On the edge network, edge servers read from property configuration files to determine how to distribute content. The association between your property and edge hostnames allows networks to resolve requests for your content. Perform this procedure to configure secure delivery of content over HTTPS with your hostname. Associate a test hostname to an edge hostnameIn your EIB configuration, you can optionally create an additional association of a test hostname to a staging edge server. This association enables you to test all EIB-unrelated features of your configuration in the staging environment. Configure the behaviors in the default ruleBehaviors apply to all requests in the default rule, which includes all mandatory and some of the recommended behaviors designed to improve a number of the performance aspects in the OTA Updates module. You cannot delete a mandatory behavior from the default rule, but you can retain the flexibility to add mandatory behaviors to custom rules. Perform this procedure to configure the behaviors that are automatically part of the default rule of the OTA Updates configuration.Configure the OTA Updates recommended behaviorsApart from the behaviors that are automatically part of the default rule, you can configure the OTA Updates recommended behaviors that let you to define aggregated reports, specify the requests logged in aggregated and individual vehicle reports, enable download notifications available through the OTA Updates API, and authorize clients sending JSON web tokens in requests. Configure authenticationTo authenticate clients who request software updates you can use JWTs and Mutual Authentication. To complete the configuration you have to configure at least one of these methods. Depending on your requirements, you can configure JWTs and Mutual Authentication for a single property, but you can't mix them in a single request.
