Stream Packaging (RTMP Ingest/ HDS & HLS Output) visitors report

The following visitor reports are available for HDS (Adobe HTTP Dynamic Streaming) and HLS (Apple HTTP Live Streaming):

  • Unique Visitors per Hour. Each unique IP address/player ID combination is considered a unique visitor. The graph shows visitors per hour for the selected CP code(s) and date. The peak visitors per hour are highlighted in the graph.
  • Top 10 Visitors. For the top ten unique IP address/player ID combinations, the following information is provided. Click View More Details in a New Window to display the same information for the top 25 visitors, sorted by hits.
    • Domain / IP. The domain, if known, and the IP address from which the visitor is requesting your content.
    • OS / Browser. The operating system and browser with which the visitor is requesting your content.
    • OK Hits. The number of hits on your content the visitor is producing. This number includes hits on the Edge server from the end user with successful response codes only (for example, 2xx, 3xx, 0xx).
    • OK Volume. The amount of bandwidth the visitor is using to request your content. This number includes hits on the Edge server from the end user with successful response codes only (for example, 2xx, 3xx, 0xx).
  • Operating Systems. The operating systems your visitors are using to access your content and the percentage of visitors using the operating systems. Click More Details to display a complete list with the number of visitors, percentage of total visitors, OK hits, and percentage of total OK hits called out for each operating system.
  • Browsers. The browser with which visitors are accessing your content and the percentage of total visitors using each browser. Click More Details to display a complete list with the number of visitors, percentage of total visitors, OK hits, and percentage of total OK hits called out for each browser.
  • User Locations - Top Ten Countries. The top ten countries from where your traffic is originating. Click View All Countries to see the full list of countries.
  • User Locations - Top Ten U.S. States. The top ten U.S. states from where your traffic is originating. Click View All States to display the full list of states.
    Note: The Other USA category in the U.S. States list includes primarily AOL requests, since AOL provides only a country with the IP address of a user, not state-level information.
  • User Locations - Canadian Provinces. The top five Canadian provinces from where your traffic is originating.
  • Click View All Provinces to display the full list of provinces. A full list of possible geography entities that can appear in this list is available under Reference in the page’s help file (click Help).
