File transfer with Aspera

How to

  1. If necessary, launch the Aspera Client:
    • Linux (Debian/RedHat) - From a Terminal Session, issue the command, asperaascp .
      • Mac OSX - Navigate to Macintosh HD > Applications > Aspera Client, or launch a Terminal Session and issue the command asperaascp .
      • Microsoft Windows - Select Start Menu > All Programs > Aspera > Client > Client, and input appropriate Administrator login credentials.
  2. In the right-hand pane, click to select a Connection you've previously configured.
  3. Click the Connect button.
  4. If applicable, provide the Password (“passphrase”) for the SSH key used.
  5. To upload, navigate the directory tree in the left-hand pane (your local system):
    • Double-click directories to open them and reveal content
    • Click to select directories or files for transfer
  6. Navigate the tree in the right-hand pane. (This is the NetStorage Storage Group.) Select the directory to serve as the target of the upload.
  7. Click the Right Arrow button (top) to begin the upload of files to NetStorage.

What you should see

Individual entries for each file being transferred will be revealed in the Transfers tab at the bottom of the UI.
