Considerations when using "symlink"

If using "symlink" with FileStore (NS3), the following considerations apply.

A subdirectory and file in the same directory cannot have the same name.

A subdirectory and symlink in the same directory cannot have the same name. This applies regardless of the file type or extension. For example, a single directory cannot contain a subdirectory named “moved_new” as well as a symlink entitled “moved_new”. When creating a new symlink, ensure that the name used does not already apply to a file that exists in the same location.
