Using SSHFS

This client is not recommended for ObjectStore.

Warning: Because ObjectStore is not a traditional file system, errors are likely to be seen. If a connection to ObjectStore is required, ensure sshfs is configured for read-only mode.

Installation varies by OS

For example, installation on Ubuntu/Debian systems:

sudo apt-get install sshfs
mkdir /local/path/
sshfs -o reconnect sshacs@XXX.sftp.upload.akamai.com:/CPCODE/remote/path /local/path/
ls -l /local/path

Provide your key to sshfs

Include your keys for sshfs with any of the following methods:

  • -i /path/to/key: Use this option to include the path to your key.
  • -o IdentityFile=/path/to/key: Use this option to specify your identity file.
  • Add entries in your ~/.ssh/config file for this hostname.
