Create an origin certificate

The second connection in an HTTPS request, between the Edge server and the origin housing your website or app, requires that you set up a unique certificate and install it on your origin. This is referred to as the "origin certificate."

You can generate and apply this certificate in multiple ways.

Note: The Certificate Provisioning System (CPS) in Control Center is not used for this process. Certificates created with it only apply to the first connection between the end user and the Edge server.
