Set up an alert filter

You can use filters to target your alert on specific attack vectors.

How to

  1. When creating or changing an alert, select the Filter tab.
  2. Set up the filter.
    If...Then...
    If you’re creating an alert, do these steps:
    1. Create a data filter in WSA to target specific attack traffic. Click Apply.
    2. Ensure the data that appears is correct.
    3. Click to copy the filter information to the alert’s Filter tab.
    If you’re changing an alert, do these steps:
    1. Click to copy the alert’s filter settings to the main viewing area.
    2. Make any changes you’d like to the filters. Click Apply.
    3. Ensure the data that appears is correct.
    4. Click to copy the filter information to the alert’s Filter tab.
