Create test cases
Test case for the functional testing is the basic unit of testing, it combines conditions, test requests, and client profiles for which you want Test Center to run a test.
- Go to .
- In the left menu, click Functional testing and then go to Test cases.
Above the master list, click
The Create test cases window opens.
Select whether you want to combine test cases in a test suite. It is not obligatory,
but recommended, if you’re creating the test cases to run a test for a requirement, config
version, or a test suite.
- If you want to include the test cases in a test suite, select Yes and select the test suite from the list. To create a new test suite, click +, configure the suite’s settings and click Save.
- If you don’t want to include the test cases in a test suite, select No.
- Click Next.
Select conditions for which you want to
run the test. If you need to create a new condition, click +,
follow the on-screen instructions to create the condition, and click Save. Click Next.
Tip: You can also create conditions in the Conditions tab and then use it while creating the test case.
Select test requests for which you want
to run the test. If you need to create a new test request, click +,
configure the request’s settings, and click Save. Notice that in
settings, you can configure request headers. Click Next.
Tip: You can also create test requests in the Test request tab and then use it while creating the test case.
Select clients profiles for which you want to run the test. Click
Test Center generates a list of test cases created based on your selections.
- Go through the generated test cases and select which of them you want to save.
- Click Submit.
